General Manager ? Restaurant

As Restaurant General Manager at City Perch Restaurant you will lead the operations of the location and a team of salaried managers and hourly restaurant staff.

The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for managing all functions of the location (Front-of-House, Back-of-House, Restaurant and Bar) ensuring the Ultimate Guest Experience, safety of our Guests, Team, and property, overseeing the quality and consistency of our food and beverage.

Key Accountabilities:

* Works with Sr. General Manager to support an environment committed to outstanding Guest Experiences; participate in meetings (1:1, pre-shift meetings) with staff to maintain guest focus at all times. Oversee guest relations, build guest loyalty and recognize staff for outstanding service delivery in FOH Restaurant.

* Work with Executive/Regional Chef and Kitchen Management to ensure quality expectations are met in food and beverage preparation and presentation; focus on motivating cooks to prepare menu items in consistent manner.

* Manage performance of direct reports and all staff members; hold others accountable to Restaurant standards and expectations; provide timely, supportive coaching when needed. Support staff understanding of Restaurant priorities and expectations.

* Manage Restaurant operations with comprehensive, detailed approach to food and beverage quality, safety, building maintenance, repairs, and sanitation/cleanliness.

* Make hiring decisions for hourly restaurant staff; identify talent and make recommendations for internal promotions to Supervisor/Manager roles.

* Provide information and reports on labor, supplies, inventory, and food and beverage costs to Sr. General Manager as required.

Experience & Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree Preferred, preferably in Business Administration or Hospitality Management.

* 5+ years of experience in large, complex operations with strong focus on food and beverage program, hospitality, and brand management. Progressive growth from hands-on, frontline roles to leadership preferred.

* Track record of success with bias for action, high energy level and desire to succeed.

* Qualified to execute thorough plans to achieve expected outcomes at the site level while maintaining focus on guest and staff relations, and facilities management.

* Solid problem solving, data analysis and decision making skills.

* Meeting or exceeding corporate goals for financial, hospitality and people measures.

Leadership Requirements:

* Demonstrated judgment, decision making, and conflict resolution skills with guests, staff, and peers. (large staff 50+)

* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, solid executive presence, self-confidence, and professional maturity.

* Good listener, patient in stressful situations and genuine in desire to resolve issues.

* Staff retention and development: minimizing turnover through solid hiring and engagement activities; internal promotions and cross-training.

* Solid follow-through on problems and issues; solutions that address root causes; recommendations that can be broadly implemented across Restaurant.

* Guest loyalty: special event participation, Net Promoter Score, and other measures to support the creation of Restaurant brand ambassadors. SDL2017
