We’re OperationsInc, a human resources consulting firm. A client of ours, a White Plains, NY based specialized CPA Firm, is seeking an Accounting Senior - (Audit/Consulting) to add to their growing organization. We have been retained to assist them in their efforts to secure the most qualified candidate.

This diverse accounting role will consist of 70-80% outsourced accounting and 20-30% Audit work for our client’s diverse clientele.  We are looking for a strong individual with at least 2-3 years experience who has excellent communication and presentation skills.

Outsourced Senior Accountant

Responsible for multiple clients’ accounting, financial and operational functions. These functions include establishing and/or maintaining the company’s accounting procedures, initiatives, as well as strategic and analytic interpretation of metrics, and preparing monthly financial reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides financial statement preparation with analysis.
  • Direct all accounting functions including payroll, account receivables/collections, expense processing, taxes, and revenue recognition and reporting.
  • Strategic Business planning and creating, implementing and enforcing budgets as well as accurate projections.
  • Responsible for overall fiscal operations: directing internal financial programs and procedures, and maintaining useful relationships with outside partners and vendors.
  • Responsible for review of vendor relationships such as banking, insurance, leases, etc.
  • Provide sound leadership in complying with financial and legal requirements.
  • Attend Board/Shareholder meetings.

Audit

Responsible for all aspects of the firm’s audit and business office engagements in accordance with the guidelines established by the Partners of the firm. Exhibits technical proficiency and the ability to complete engagements, understands the policies and procedures of the firm, and serves as intermediaries between Partners and Clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates a high level of professional conduct and ethical standards, which includes maintaining the confidentiality of client information and internal practices.
  • Presents complex financial statements and analysis.
  • Manages the budget on an engagement.
  • Proactively manages client needs and ensures that client expectations are met.
  • Ensures that products are technically sound and that all professional standards are met.
  • Manages multiple client workflow.
  • Promotes opportunities to provide additional services to clients.
  • Updates clients and Partners on the status of an engagement regularly.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 2-3 years audit experience.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
