Historic Hudson Valley, Westchester County’s largest cultural organization, seeks a hard-working, enthusiastic, Groundskeeper who will help us ensure that landscapes and gardens are well – tended and attractive for visitors.
The Groundskeeper will provide a variety of landscaping and gardening duties including mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, snow and leave removal and assisting with setting up and removing elements associated with our exciting events.
This is a part-time, seasonal position (April – December) that offers and requires a lot of flexibility (weekend, holiday, and evening availability are a must.)
You must be in good physical condition…you will have to do some heavy lifting and moving — of the 50-pound box variety — and be able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and various methods of grounds maintenance is required. A valid driver’s license is a must as is basic computer proficiency (e.g. e-mail and the internet) and a high school diploma or GED.
