Regeneron is seeking a talented, curious and highly motivated Research Associate to join the Skeletal Disease group. The successful candidate should have a strong background in life sciences, specifically in molecular biology. The main goal will be to investigate novel mechanisms and targets in iron regulation. It is expected, that the successful candidate works autonomously in a team-oriented environment.

Maintain and transfect/transduce (mammalian) cell lines.
  • Perform basic immunological and molecular biology assays.
  • Investigate protein expression/function in cell lines and animal tissues.
  • Perform in vivo studies and handle animal models.
  • Analyze and present data.
  • Maintain appropriate records of all experiments.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum 2 years of research experience. Masters degree desired.

  • Cell culture (cell lines maintenance, transfection etc.).
  • Basic molecular biology/biochemistry (Protein and mRNA extraction, PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, Flow Cytometry).
  • Experience with animal models (general handling, injections of pharmacological compounds, tissue processing).
  • Experience with immunohistochemistry and imaging.

The successful candidate:
  • Should be skilled in molecular biology / cell biology / physiology and have sufficient experience to be able to carry out experiments, with minimal supervision.
  • Should have experience in in vitro and in vivo experiments
  • Should be highly organized, work autonomously but also have experience in working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Should be able to analyze data and have sufficient communicative skills to present these effectively.
  • Should be proficient with common Office software (PowerPoint, Excel and Word). Additional knowledge in FlowJo and GraphPad Prism is desirable but not a must.
