Summary
The Administrative Assistant will support the VP Chief Intellectual Property Counsel and patent attorneys/agents at varying levels within the IP Group. The Assistant will also be expected to maintain absolute confidentiality and interact in a professional manner with various individuals inside and outside Regeneron.

Responsibilities
  • Providing a wide variety of word processing support, including but not limited to legal documents.
  • Maintaining files.
  • Maintaining calendars and answering phones for senior management.
  • Managing travel arrangements.
  • Greeting and directing visitors, and working with Security to ensure proper compliance is followed in regards to visitors and outside vendors.
  • Scheduling and organizing meetings, including setting up IT and ordering meals/refreshments.
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies and equipment.
  • Sorting, screening, and distributing of incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Requesting repairs and following up with various departments on technical issues (IT, Facilities, etc.).
  • Processing Expense and Reimbursement Reports.
  • Tracking deadlines and ensuring completion of projects.
  • Providing assistance to Paralegal and Docketing functions from time to time, as may be necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelors or Associates degree and 3+ years of experience working in a legal environment. Experience working in an IP Group is a plus.
  • Pays attention to detail; has excellent time management skills; is flexible, helpful, quick learner, proactive, professional and courteous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral); ability to maintain absolute confidentiality is required.
  • Proficient using relevant computer programs (e.g., Outlook, MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint). Will be trained on other systems as needed.
